Hi, I am new. I am very glad to find this place. I like the King's Quest series. Princess Rosella is my favorite character. I like this game and KQ6 and KQ7. The games are such fun.
I like the beauty of them too. I am drawing fan art of the series. When I was younger I tried drawing papers of the royal family of Daventry. My drawing skills have greatly improved since then. I am swamped with art to work on. It will be a while before I can work on any King's Quest fan art.

I have played all 7 games and mask of eternity. I was disappointed with mask of eternity, but their was something I really liked about it. In the beginning video, Connor goes to greet his friend or girlfriend, whose name is Sarah. That's my name, and they even spelled it correctly! I know my name is very common and popular, I used to not like my name when I was a kid because there were so many other 'Sarahs' out there. But then I realized how beautiful my name is, I am very proud of what it means. The name 'Sarah' means 'princess.'

So, I am a princess! I had an obsession with princesses and fairytales, legends, folklore, mythology when I was a little girl. I later on became interested in dragons, and I insisted there were good "Christian' dragons, I thought I was a dragon named Seraphina Starfire. When I was really little I liked unicorns, pegasus and fairies. I collected my little ponies and barbie dolls. OK, the dragon thing started after I saw the movie 'Dragonheart'. Then I read "Dealing With Dragons', and the rest of the Enchanted Forest series, then I read Dragonlance. In King's Quest VII, there was a crystal dragon, and Etheria, I like the little flying sea horses and the beautiful flowers all over Etheria. I have always liked flowers.

The thing about dragons was stuborness. I became closer to God. I was raised southern Baptist, my parents took me to church, but more importantly they taught me right from wrong, how to behave, how to be kind and polite, how to love people and forgive them. I had to make the choice to reject 'magic' and to accept the biblical definition of dragons as evil and of Satan, Satan is described as a dragon in the Bible. Unicorns are mentioned in the King James version of the Bible, in modern versions they are described as 'wild ox.'

Any way, the history of fairies is cloudy, it is said during the war in heaven when Lucifer/Satan rebelled against the LordGod and took one-third of the angels with him, there were neutral angels, who were cast down to the earth, they became fairies. Actually, Satan is on the earth with great wrath seeking whom he may devour.

Unfortunately, God doesn't forgive fallen angels when they repent, I don't know why, that is God's will, but he does forgive people, I am very glad God gave me back my humanity.

hi im Ravencast, ive been a big fan of King's Quest for years and years. ive got the GOG re-releases of them all and also the AGD remakes of 1,2,3 but sadly part 4 is the only one not brought up to the KQV level it deserves I was thrilled to see that there was a group out there trying to correct that fact and anything I could do to help in anyway just ask. For along time now ive told my nieces and nephews about the old KQ series and how good it was it would be great to be able to show them it all first hand.

It seems im getting an Error when i want to post a Link, so go to DeviantArt and Search for chrisdaventry, then go to my Gallery where you will see my Graham and Rosella Model, plus Screens for King's Quest

I hope this does not come across as a distasteful proposition, but, if you bear with me, for a couple of lines, I will try to express my thoughts.

I only learned of Karen's passing today, when the news were announced in the AGS forum. To say that I was shocked, would be an immense understatement, and I think it will take me some time to come to terms with the fact, that Karen is gone.

I first came in contact with her, during the early stages of Magic Mirror Games' remake of KQ4. She showed every sign of being a brilliant artist, even then, and, when we discovered that we both lived in Norway, we did a fair bit of corresponding on the side, apart from speaking in the forums.

I never met her in person, but we had some loose talk about meeting, next summer, and, as I got to know her quite well, I am very sad indeed, to think that this will now never happen.

This may sound silly, but I remember a small discussion in the AGS forums, about whose picture is over the mantlepiece in the haunted mansion. I put forward the idea that it may have been Roberta Williams, herself, and made a remark about maybe the picture should have been substituted by a picture of her, Karen, that is, instead. Or words to that effect, anyway.

And here is my little idea: Would it be possible to let the picture be a portrait of Karen, in your remake? It could, perhaps symbolise her creative spirit, which, of course is everywhere in the game, anyhow, but it may serve as a nice tribute. If the player clicked the portrait, Rosella could make a suitable honourary comment.

I hope I have not offended anyone in proposing this, and I am sure the team has allready considered many options in how to pay tribute to Karen, but as I read the sad news in the AGS forums today, this thought sprang, imidiately to mind, and I felt I had to share it...

I used to do games* but over recent years focused on 3D art and beta testing a renderer and its various plugins, maybe at some point I'll turn the 3D into some game art

The artwork looks stunning

games* I did a few MAGS games a scary long time ago, then moved on to Flash (and met the incredible artist here) then various other engines and realised I suck at writing stories!!

Hi,

I'm HandsFree and I joined the project to help out with scripting. Akril did a huge mount of work on the game already but the programming task for this game is just enormous. Hopefully we can share the workload a bit so noone has to get overworked here.

I'm looking forward to working on the project and I've actually already started doing some work on the demo.

Now let's release that demo!

This was a beloved game in my childhood, and it has always remained in my heart and fondest memories. I don't react earlier because I'm not sure my english is comprehensible (understanding) =)

But logically the team needs to be encouraged, and I'll try to write my words.

I'm a great fan of the King Quest IV game, and happy to see a good team remaking this game.

It's not easy, and I'm sure it's difficult to remake it.

You can be sure that all people coming here understand it, as I do, but does no react hoping to see something concrete, and this it on the way, seeing the demo topic (inaccessible yet).

Many projects like this are breaked, because of a lost of motivation, I can understand it, but you will make a mistake to not continue. You have yet a music compositer, I have seen. But if you need it, I can complete that by providing to you my original compositions, that I think can be assorted with your King Quest IV remake. Don't hesitate to send me an email to send them to you, to hear and select what you need, I'll be happy to participate as I can in your project.
