Greetings once again, fellow King's Quest fans!
I hope you've all had as great a summer as Genesta has.
I am here now, to inform you that we have made significant progress since my last winter post. As of my writing this, nearly everything that was needed for the actual gameplay section of the game has been completed and inserted into the game. We’ve also managed to get the introduction nearly completed and some assets for the endings done as well. There are some minor animations involving some of the bad guys in Tamir, that still need to be done, as well as a few talking character portraits, but we believe they’ll be completed before this year is finished.
While I’m on the subject of said missing animations, I feel as though I should give potential players a bit of a heads up. We’re going to be adding a bit of an extra challenge to the scene in which Rosella finds herself sneaking through Lolotte’s castle, as Karen’s design made it impossible for Rosella to fall from the stairs to her death. (I can hear many of you sighing with relief already. ) So, for that reason, we’re going to be making it a little bit more difficult to avoid detection by the goons. (Although, arguably, you may actually find it a significantly easier task in our version, than in Roberta’s.) So yeah, that’s one of the things that still needs to be worked on, but it shouldn’t take much longer.
Anyway, since its been… quite a long time since the release of our demo, I wanted to assure you all once again, that the project is still in the works and is nearing completion.
We’re almost there, I promise!
