{"id":205,"date":"2012-11-15T15:45:02","date_gmt":"2012-11-15T15:45:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/unicorntales.org\/kq4-perilsofrosella-remake\/?p=205"},"modified":"2012-11-15T15:45:02","modified_gmt":"2012-11-15T15:45:02","slug":"herou-rogue-redemption-quest-glory-designers-kickstarter-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/unicorntales.org\/kq4-perilsofrosella-remake\/2012\/sierra\/herou-rogue-redemption-quest-glory-designers-kickstarter-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Hero-U: Rogue to Redemption by the Quest for Glory designers Kickstarter project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello All,<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We are in the process of remaking King&#8217;s Quest IV!<\/p>\n<p>That doesn&#8217;t mean that we don&#8217;t have any other favorite games or hobbies.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>One of those (and I am sure that at least our graphic designer will agree) is the Quest for Glory series.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Hero-U\" href=\"http:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/projects\/1878147873\/hero-u-rogue-to-redemption\" target=\"_blank\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-206\" title=\"Hero-U\" src=\"https:\/\/unicorntales.org\/kq4-perilsofrosella-remake\/wp-content\/uploads\/Hero-U.jpg\" alt=\"Rogue To Redemption\" width=\"700\" height=\"560\" srcset=\"https:\/\/unicorntales.org\/kq4-perilsofrosella-remake\/wp-content\/uploads\/Hero-U.jpg 700w, https:\/\/unicorntales.org\/kq4-perilsofrosella-remake\/wp-content\/uploads\/Hero-U-300x240.jpg 300w, https:\/\/unicorntales.org\/kq4-perilsofrosella-remake\/wp-content\/uploads\/Hero-U-375x300.jpg 375w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The quest for glory series was so much fun and very unique as it mashed (very successfully) an RPG with a Quest.<\/p>\n<p>The result was a highly addictive game (which then turned to five addictive games), these games had several unique features, I will write several of those:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mashing of RPG into a quest<\/li>\n<li>You could choose which character type you want to be: Mage, Fighter, Thief<\/li>\n<li>You could do different things (had a slightly different story) according to the character you chose<\/li>\n<li>You could continue with the exactly same character in the next game!!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I can say many good things about these series, but this is not the time nor the place.<\/p>\n<p>I want today to recommend a new game which I didn&#8217;t play yet, this is a game which is still under development, so how can I recommend it?<\/p>\n<p>I know the creators of the game: Corey and Lory Cole &#8211; This couple (married couple) have created the Quest for Glory series for Sierra back in the days, now they are back and want to create a new game: <a title=\"Hero-U\" href=\"http:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/projects\/1878147873\/hero-u-rogue-to-redemption\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Hero-U Rogue to Redemption!<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>They don&#8217;t have any development money so they want to kickstart this new game using crowd funding &#8211; you can see it as a pre-sale which will enable the development of this game or you can see it as a donation for a great game to be created or just as an encouragement for these great developers which gave all of us tens of hours of entertainment.<\/p>\n<p>As of now, this project is 68% funded (273k$ out of 400k$)<\/p>\n<p>To get the game when it&#8217;s out you can fund 20$, unless you want some of the other goodies.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Hero-U\" href=\"http:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/projects\/1878147873\/hero-u-rogue-to-redemption\" target=\"_blank\">Please feel free to go to the Kickstarter and help them out by clicking on this line<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Goodluck to the Coles from Daventry,<\/p>\n<p>Rosella.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello All, &nbsp; We are in the process of remaking King&#8217;s Quest IV!
