Greetings once again, fellow King\u2019s Quest fans!<\/span><\/span>
\u00a0<\/span><\/span>
I\u2019m sorry to report that our project was not completed by the end of this year after all, BUT\u2026\u00a0 I am\u00a0happy<\/span>\u00a0to report that there has still been some significant progress since last year.\u00a0 Most importantly, we\u2019ve finally managed to get over the biggest hurdle in our way, and finish all of the character models that were missing from the game \u2013 thanks to the help of some highly talented artists, willing to assist us in helping honor Karen\u2019s memory, by finishing the project she started.\u00a0 We were also able to get some much-needed edits done on Valanice and Lolotte.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>
\u00a0<\/span><\/span>
Other assets for the game\u2019s introduction <\/b>and ending <\/b>have been completed as well.\u00a0 These include environmental animations for the introduction, animations for the witches in the skull cave, and some of Genesta and Rosella\u2019s interactions on the beach \u2013 during both the intro and ending.\u00a0 The introduction is also nearly completed, with just a few animations needing to be done.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>
\u00a0<\/span><\/span>
In addition to that, we were able to get lots of GUI completed<\/b> for the game and inserted into it \u2013 all except for the death screen; which will be a bit reminiscent of the commentaries that Robin Hood or Sonny Bonds would face, when screwing up in their respective games.\u00a0 Aside from that, all other GUIs are done.<\/span><\/span>
\u00a0<\/span><\/span>
One last thing I\u2019ll tell you about, while trying not to spoil, is that some of the game\u2019s scenes will be enhanced, such as a certain one in which Rosella does something she\u2019s not supposed to.\u00a0 Some of those enhanced scenes will also include interactive conversations, in which Rosella may need to heed the words of Johnny Rivers and be careful what she says, to avoid giving herself away, or else she may not live to see tomorrow.<\/span><\/span>
\u00a0<\/span><\/span>
That said, we do intend to take a break as usual, this holiday season.\u00a0 But we expect work to resume in approximately early February.\u00a0 I\u2019m not going to\u00a0promise<\/span>\u00a0that the game\u00a0will<\/span>\u00a0be completed\u00a0in 2024<\/span>, but that is looking pretty likely so far.\u00a0 Until then, we hope you\u2019ll continue to bear with us and have a fabulous holiday as well.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
