Demo feedback thread - Jack Stryker - 28-04-2013
That's right, my friends, the demo is here.
Now, in this thread, post your feelings on it. Bugs, features, why you think it's great, why you think it sucks, anything you have to say about it.
I'll start out by saying that I was truly astounded by the amazing graphics and animation. Especially the talking Rosella portraits; which captured her moods perfectly and didn't just show the same expression every time. Perfect change of pace that was. Plus, the cleverly thought out puzzles made the demo more fun and not too short or too easy.
At one point though, I thought I'd stumbled onto a bug, when I encountered the shark and found that I'd lost control of everything except movement. But after I finally eluded him, I found that I was in fact, able to perform those actions again. I can easily understand the temporary loss of other actions, as she's clearly meant to drop what she's doing at this point and get away from the shark. However, it might help to add a message saying something along the lines of, "Uh-oh! Here comes a big and hungry-looking shark! Better get away quickly, Rosella!"
In closing, the demo was a delight to play and if this is just a taste of what's to come, then you know that I'm excited to see what the full meal will be like.
So, what do you think, my friends? Did you enjoy the demo as much as I did?

Well, Isaac, one thing that usually helps is if you examine everything around you and try to interact with everything any way you can. Like the palm tree, for example. (Hint! Hint!) As for getting back to Tamir, you'll have to summon help, as it's too far away for Rosella to swim there herself. To do that, you'll have to acquire some items; which are hidden good. Some of those items might need a little tampering with too. (Hint! Hint!) But just keep looking at and interacting with everything you can, and you'll eventually figure it out.

I love the game so far. can't wait for the full version.
I've gotten about halfway through don't want to spoil too much for anyone. But I got the whistle and Rosella won't use it. I've tried cleaning it by hand and with her dress but it won't work. It won't let me clean it in the ocean either. How am I supposed to geto ff the island? i saw a pirate ship after climbing the palm tree. I am supposed to swim towards it? Or try to find a dolphin on another screen?

The whistle needs a little something else, before it'll function properly. Something little enough to fit inside it. Did you collect all the items from the chest?

I just finished the demo. It's absolutely amazing! You guys are doing a fabulous job. I love the graphics and the many expressions that Rosella has. I also think it's funny the way she swims
I can't wait to play the real game . The only bug I encountered while playing was while I was swimming to get away from the shark I went to save my game and the menu screen was all blacked out and I was unable to. That only happened to me once though, so maybe it was an error on my side

Okay, here's another hint. Remember how you had to break something, in order to open the chest? Well, there's something else inside the chest that you'll have to break, in order to fix the whistle.
