Magic Mirror Games' remake
#1

Hey, everyone.  So, as you may know, another group who call themselves Magic Mirror Games is working on another King's Quest IV remake.  It is another project that Karen worked on; which this group has also determined to finish in her honor.  Here are links to their demo video and their facebook group.

I strongly urge everyone- both crew members and fans alike- to show their willingness to support this group's project as well as ours.  If and when either their remake, our remake, or both of them get finished and released to the public, I will be able to die a happy man, knowing that Karen's work has been honored.

Sorry I took so long to notice your reply.

From what I've seen, it looks like it's mostly the same as the original, with a few little twists here and there.  Probably not as many as ours will have though, not that I mean to brag or anything.

That's cool that another group is working on the game as well.  I'll check them out.  Even if we both finish our games I'll still play both of them because I'm such a big fan of King's Quest. Do they have a website or just that Facebook page, because all I'm seeing right now when I google it is that they've disbanded the project.

That's a valid question.  I'm afraid I don't have a facebook account myself, so I can't visit that link.

Actually all they have is the Facebook page, its open to the public, one of the last members puts updates up every month, she is currently working on background scenes. The last update they did was the beach, where she redid it. They also have an old opening up of the game with some 3D work from Karen and some 2D work in between but for their final release they are making all those parts over in 2D.

If you are a believer of Jesus Christ, and are 100% proud of it, put this in your sig!!

Hmm... odd.  When I click on the link, I'm forced to log in; which I can't since I don't have an account there.

Aw, but who cares?  Knowing that they're making progress is good enough for me.

Unfortunately, Magic Mirror games closed their gates after several years where they couldn't find any sprite designer :-(

You can read a little more about the kq4 remakes on one of our 2013 posts:
